About Us

Our Mission

Our Mission is to champion the arts and culture of Shawnee, Kansas by seeking opportunities to support public art, artists, and creative endeavors which benefit both residents and visitors to our community. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit arts organization registered with the state of Kansas and the Internal Revenue Service founded on September 9, 2022, by members of the Shawnee, Kansas community who served on the City of Shawnee, Kansas Public Arts Task Force during 2021-2022.

What are we doing?

We’re partnering with local organizations to expand arts opportunities in our community. Here’s what we’re working on:

Working on our next public art project in collaboration with local groups.
Updating the public art inventory, supporting current installations, and identifying new locations for future works.
Gathering feedback through a public art survey to help shape our future strategy for arts advocacy and programming.
